Exactly what Glow can access

Glow asks for a management (provisioning) key.

  • Nothing else: Glow never runs inference on your key

How Glow checks it

Glow checks that the key is a management key and that the activity endpoint answers. Its outbound network rules allow only GET requests to the three endpoints above.

Honest note. OpenRouter has no read-only management key: the key could create or delete keys if someone misused it. Glow marks this connection “not read-only”, explains why, and enforces GET-only on three paths at the network layer.

OpenRouter + Glow: questions

Why does Glow need a management key, not a normal API key?

Activity and per-key usage are only available to management keys. A normal inference key can spend money but can’t read activity, so Glow rejects it.

Will Glow ever spend my OpenRouter credits?

No. Glow never sends a completion with your key. Ask Glow and agents run on Glow’s own OpenRouter account.

How far back does the history go?

As far as OpenRouter’s activity API returns, usually 30 days, so the first chart is already full.

Can I disconnect OpenRouter later?

Any time. Remove the connection in Glow and the sealed key is destroyed; revoke it at OpenRouter too if you like. Your history stays until it expires.
